Gisela Torres is a london based artist and arts educator. Trained as a photographer and filmmaker her practice engages with self-portraiture, performance, printmaking, sculpture and emerging media technologies. Through her multi media approaches and performative provocations she re-imagines personal multilayered narratives that explore under-represented histories, female identity and mourning with otherworldly, playful and atmospheric intentions. As a freelance arts educator she delivers talks and workshops on exhibitions, visual literacy and photography to young people, adults and outreach communities.
